Father & Son WIN AGAIN

Anglers Quest 2005 Twin Lake Saturday Series #4 on Lake Houston out of Lake Houston Marina in Huffman, TX began this event with 52 teamed anglers showing up to fish for the GUARANTEED $1000.00 to the winner. The event began at safe light, which was 6:45 am. Weigh in was conducted at 3:15 pm. This Saturday Series after all 20 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2006 Saturday Series events. The Top 25 teams will go to the Saturday Series Championship in November on Lake Livingston. A special Top 5 group of teams will go to the all-new “Tournament of Champions” also to be held in November on Martin Creek Reservoir. All A/Q Championships include Calcutta auctions which builds the Championship purse to some very nice $$ to fish for, for a very small entry fee of $100.00 per team.

Lake Houston water was a bit off color and about 6″ above normal pool level due to the recent rains, with water temps running 60-62 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 53 degrees with a warming to 70 degrees by weigh in time. The fishing was fair on Houston today as only 6 limits were brought to the scales for a total of 66 bass at 166.27 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.55 lb.

Father & Son team of Terry & Bryan Bagley from Kingwood, Tx for the 2nd Lake Houston Saturday series in a row, ran their Skeeter/Yamaha bass rig to south main lake creek areas to catch their bass flipping Texas rigged worms & spinnerbaits to 1-2 ft brush to end up with a very nice bag of 5 bass at 15.56 lbs to finish in 1st place and collect the GUARANTEED $1000.00 plus an additional $78.00 for having the 2nd big bass of the day, a fine 5.53 lber.

Chuck McClurkin from Humble, Tx ran his Triton/Mercury bass rig to the West Fork area to finish in 2nd with his best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 13.05 lbs. Chuck’s day on the lake payed him back $350.00 for his efforts.

Bobby Behrend from Baytown, Tx & David Jensen from Dayton, Tx finished in 3rd place today fishing the north end of the lake out of Bobby’s Champion/Mercury and bringing 5 bass to the scales that weighed 12.07 lbs, all caught on Texas rigged worms and spinnerbaits, they took home $250.00 for their day on the water.
