Fans of the “FLW Outdoors” television show will now get two more chances to catch all the action of the $1.5 million Wal-Mart FLW Tour Championship presented by Castrol. The Outdoor Life Network, which broadcasts “FLW Outdoors” Sundays from 1-2 p.m. EDT and Thursdays from 5-6 p.m., has announced plans to rebroadcast the championship show, airing it two additional times – once in prime time on Sunday at 10 p.m. EDT and again at 12:30 a.m. Monday.
The FLW Tour Championship took place Aug. 11-14 on Logan Martin Lake near Birmingham, Ala. The weigh-in for the final day was filled to capacity, as thousands of fishing fans watched 26-year-old rookie pro Luke Clausen claim the $500,000 grand prize.
The latest “FLW Outdoors” show details the FLW Tour Championship’s bracket-style format, featuring head-to-head matchups among the 48 pros competing for the big money. TV cameras capture the excitement on the water, following all 12 finalists as they fish the last day. During the show, co-hosts Taylor Carr and Carlton Wing take viewers from the opening round of the event through the crowning of the champion on the final day.
During each tournament show, “FLW Outdoors” hosts Wing and Carr go on location to provide on-the-water coverage. While tournament weigh-ins are broadcast live at Wal-Mart stores throughout the country, “FLW Outdoors” TV has been tape-delayed to bring audiences nationwide the best tournament footage possible throughout the season.
