Tune in Aug.22 to the “FLW Outdoors” television show on the Outdoor Life Network as co-hosts Taylor Carr and Carlton Wing take viewers from the opening round of the $1.5 million Wal-Mart FLW Tour Championship presented by Castrol all the way through to the crowning of the champion on the final day. The winner of the professional bass-fishing event will walk away $500,000 richer.
The show details the tournament’s bracket-style format, featuring head-to-head matchups among the 48 pros competing for the big money. The final day promises unparalleled excitement, when 12 finalists take to the water and fish for the half-million-dollar top prize.
OLN’s cameras follow all 12 finalists to capture the excitement taking place on the water as they fish the final day. The anglers tell viewers how they are catching fish on Logan Martin Lake in Alabama, and the show concludes with the winner holding up his huge check seconds after weighing in his final fish. The weigh-in will be held at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex and is expected to be filled to the limit with fishing fans eager to watch the shoot-out-style final weigh-in.
OLN broadcasts “FLW Outdoors” Sundays from 1-2 p.m. EST and again Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. Check local listings for show times and channels in your area.
During each tournament show, “FLW Outdoors” hosts Wing and Carr go on location to provide on-the-water coverage. While tournament weigh-ins are broadcast live at Wal-Mart stores throughout the country, “FLW Outdoors” will be tape-delayed by three weeks to bring audiences nationwide the best tournament footage possible throughout the season.
