Congratulations to Fred Coleman of, Lafayette, In. on winning the fifth qualifier tournament for the 2010 TVA season. The fifth event of 2010 was held at Lake Shafer, in Monticello, In.
Sixteen anglers participated in the Shafer event, in hopes of a qualifying spot in the 2010 TVA classic. With a field of sixteen anglers on this popular lake you will need a good limit, and Fred had it. With a five fish limit weighing, 12.60 he held on to the win with almost a pound margin over second. In second place, was Jess Funston of northwest Indiana with another good limit weighing, 11.30 including tournament Big Bass weighing 3.66. In third was Dave Coffing of Lafayette, In. with another limit weighing 10.63. In fourth was Jeff Vandergraff, of Monon, In. with 4 fish weighing 10 lbs. even. Rounding out the top 5 was Kyle Need, of Monticello, In. with 4 fish weighing 7.74.
The next TVA qualifier will be held on Lake Freeman , on July, 19 2010. We will launch out of Dodge Camp at safe light. Thanks to all of the participating anglers an hope to see you there.
