Chris Rose, John Salley, Leeann Tweeden, Rodney Peete and Rob Dibble will be joining the world’s top professional bass anglers at the 2006 Wal-Mart FLW Tour Championship on Logan Martin Lake in Birmingham, Ala. The trio will be in town to tape FSN’s hit “Best Damn Sports Show Period.” The popular sports and entertainment show will be taped on Friday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex Arena.
Taping for the nationwide cable show, which airs weeknights at 10:30 p.m., will precede the tournament’s day-three weigh-in and crowning of the co-angler champion, which starts at 5 p.m. Friday. Spectators could possibly make an appearance on the show as well, so you won’t want to miss this opportunity.
In addition, the grand prize winner of the 2006 Look for the Hook Sweepstakes will be announced at the taping. Five lucky contestants won all-expense-paid trips to the $1.5 million FLW Tour Championship and one of the five will drive away with the grand prize – a brand-new Chevy Tahoe and Ranger Comanche boat-and-tow package, outfitted with Berkley fishing gear, worth approximately $83,000.
The Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex Arena is located at 2100 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. North in Birmingham.
