G3 Boats’ Deep-V Boats Get More Power

New, Stronger Horsepower Ratings Set

G3’s Deep-V hull fishing boats already had a

reputation of one of the most fishable boats on the water. And the

durability built in to the welded .80 and .100-gauge hulls with double

plated bows and riveted ribs classified the series as one of the toughest.

After all, these boats were designed for the rigors of the north country.

Three models have stronger horsepower ratings for 2002, power to handle any

fishing environment.

The 16-foot, 10-inch Model V170C single-console Deep-V now has a

90-horsepower rating, up from the 80-horsepower limit last year. Model V170

replaces the V165. Model V180WT is a walk-through windshield model that

measures 17 feet and 9 inches in length and rated for 150 Yamaha

horsepower. The boat was formerly known as the V175WT and had a 130

horsepower rating. The longest Deep-V model, the V180C features a deluxe

console and a 175 horsepower rating. The V180C replaces the V175C, which

had a 150-horsepower rating.

Deep-V fishing boats from G3 get their tough reputation from the

GX2 V-hull design. A reinforced second layer of aluminum on the bow, and

the hull for the V180 boats, makes these crafts the strongest on the

market. Both layers are from the same gauge aluminum. In addition, the hull

features a full-length, one-piece, extruded keel and concave spray rails

for enhanced performance and a dry ride.

Built to endure the roughest of lake conditions, the Deep-V boats

are also designed for comfort, convenience and fishing. Standard features

include carpeted heavy-duty marine plywood floors and decks, oversized

aerated livewells, fold-down fishing seats with driver seat slider, 8-foot

lockable rod locker(s), lockable storage, aft casting deck (except in

tiller models) and trolling motor wiring. Non-tiller models include a

deluxe console with a tinted windshield and the larger V180C has tilt

steering and dual no-feed back steering.

Large built-in fuel tanks (6-gallon portable tank on V160 models)

permit a long ride between fuel stops. Also included are self-priming or

automatic bilge pumps, fire extinguisher and running lights. G3 Deep-V

boats are finished in durable two-component Urethane paint. Both V180

models have an AM-FM cassette player with weather band. A G3 Custom powder

coated trailer is included with each boat and much more.

Like all G3 boats, Deep-V models are powered by Yamaha outboard

engines. Buyers of a G3 boat, motor and trailer also receive the G3

advantage package that includes free resident fishing licenses for the

buyer for three years.
