Each Model Sees Increase In Horsepower Ratings
The HP Series of bass boats introduced just last
year were sleek looking and fast running, popular attributes in today’s
bass boat marketplace. But for 2002, these same boats will perform at a
higher standard, thanks to upgraded and increased horsepower ratings on
each model.
The HP170, a 17-foot l bass boat has a new rating of 115
horsepower, an increase over last year’s rating of 90 horsepower. The
18-foot long HP 180 was rated for 130 horsepower last year. That rating has
jumped to 150 horsepower. The largest of these high performance bass boats
is the HP 190, measuring 19 feet from bow to stern. Its 150 horsepower
rating was increased to 175 horsepower. Like all G3 boats, the HP series
are powered by dependable Yamaha outboards.
Also new for 2002 is the choice of the standard single console or
the new optional dual console. Both deluxe cockpit command centers feature
Yamaha controls, easy to read gauges, tinted windshield and tilt steering
with non-feed back steering components. The passenger console on the dual
model includes tinted windshield, ample leg room and a convenient lockable
glove box.
HP bass boats feature all welded .100 gauge aluminum hull
construction for ultimate durability of hull life. With 90-inch beam
widths, there’s ample room throughout each model for spacious casting decks
and wide floors. In enhance the fishing experience, each HP is equipped
with Model 752 MotorGuide foot control trolling motors, divided and aerated
19-gallon livewells with livewell control systems, built-in 27 gallon gas
tanks (21 gallons on the HP170) for long runs and factory installed Zercom
CID-40 in-dash flashers.
Storage compartments are abundant and spacious on HP bass boats
with rod management systems in dual rod lockers (one rod locker on HP170)
and two storage compartments on the front deck and underseat storage.
Additional storage can be found on the back deck compartments on the HP180
and HP190.
All HP models are delivered with the G3 Custom powder coated
trailer with transom saver. The polyurethane two component paint finish
resists fading, cracking or chipping. Bow and stern lights, heavy-duty
bilge pump, stainless steel prop on the HP180 and HP190, three battery
trays and four cleats are included for boating convenience.
Like all G3 boats, HP bass boats are powered by Yamaha outboard
engines. Buyers of a G3 boat, motor and trailer package also receive the G3
advantage package that includes free resident fishing licenses for the
buyer for three years.
