LAKE CHAMPLAIN (TICONDEROGA) TOURNAMENT
New York The Bass Federation (NYTBF) held their first points tournament of the 2016 season on Lake Champlain with launch and afternoon weigh-in out of the Ticonderoga Boat Ramp. Lake Champlain’s been kicking out 20 lb. five fish limits all summer long and this late fall event was no exception.
Boater Division
Glenn Babineau took top honors with a nice limit weighing 20.15 lbs. Second place went to NYTBF President and Angler’s Choice Marine Pro Staffer Bobby Williams with a weight of 19.02 lbs. Chris Gore secured third place with a weight of 18.40 lbs. and Gore also took the big bass honors with a stout 5.30 lb. smallmouth. Rounding out the top five were Brad Brodnicki with 16.30 lbs. and Rick Whitaker with 13.65 lbs.
Co-Angler Division
Andrew Bechard brought in the biggest limit of the tournament weighing 21.25 lbs. besting the rest of the Co-anglers field by over 10 lbs. Stuart Morse landed in second place with a weight of 12.25 lbs. while Mitchell Cunningham had 11.40 lbs. good for third place and rounding out the top five were Dave Diadato with 9.05 lbs. and Dave Dumas with 8.40 lbs. Dan Van Nederynen took the Co-Angler Lunker with a quality largemouth weighing 4.85 lbs.
TFO Rod Winner
At each tournament NYTBF holds a participants draw for a Temple Fork Outfitters rod and today’s lucky winner was Stuart Morse.
