Hirsch Wins Bass Fishing League Illini Division On Lake Shelbyville

WHAT: Greg Hirsch of Saint Jacob, Ill., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 15 ounces Saturday, June 26, 2010 to win $3,337 in the FLW BFL Illini Division tournament on Lake Shelbyville. Hirsch was fishing secondary points in about 10 feet of water using Zoom Brush Hogs to reel in his stringer.

WHAT: Kevin Doss of Windsor, Ill., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 11 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday, June 26, 2010 to win $1,668 in the FLW BFL Illini Co-angler Division on Lake Shelbyville. He was fishing near Possum using an 8 inch worm in 8 feet of water to sack his limit.

NOTES: The next BFL Illini Division tournament is scheduled for July 17, at the Ohio River/Golconda in Golconda, Ill. After the fifth Illini Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at Lake Barkley in Kuttawa, Ky., on Oct. 7-9, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
