AQ Conroe Team #4
Thirty-eight teams fought for over $6,600.00…….. Lake Conroe was producing some nice bass. There were 127 bass caught with 20 limits !!! Over 430 pounds !!!! Wow !!!!
The winners on Sunday at Lake Conroe fishing the Anglers Quest 4th Team event of 2018 out of Stowaway Marina were the team of Jody Rhoden & Brad Rasbeary. Fishing out of a Triton/Mercury rig, Jody reported catching their fish on plastics in 1-6 ft. of water. They weighed a 5 fish limit of 22.91 lbs. Jody says they culled about 30 keepers and their big bite came about 1:00pm. They won $2,600.00 for their efforts today. Jody & Brad would like to thank Power Pole, Humming Bird and Jasper Outboard.
The team of Scott Stephens & Stephen Cain came in a close second with a limit weighing 22.71lbs. Scott & Stephen fished out of a Bass Cat/Mercury rig and won $1,160.00 for their day on the water . They reported fishing mainly north but did finish south. Their mainly fished flipping plastics and crank baits in 2-4 ft of water…
The father & son team of Gary Griffin & Jason Griffin came in Third place with their five fish weighing 2246 lbs. I apologize for not getting any info from these guys. But what great memories they must be making.. They won $800.00 for their day on the water….
Kyle Nitshke & Jason Bonds are a tough team. They came in fourth place this month with a limit weighing 21.71 lbs. I also didn’t get any info from Jason or Kyle. But they won $585.00 for their day of fishing.
Fifth place was held by the husband & wife team of Christi & Jay Slot. They fished out of a Bass cat Puma FTD with a Mercury outboard powering it. Jason reported ; “Had four small keepers on Profound Outdoors Square Boss’ during shad spawn early. Then upgraded by catching our biggest 3 sight fishing & bed fishing mid-lake and South areas using Big Bite Baits plastic Pro Lizards”. Jay & Christi won $450.00 for their day on the water….
Collin Bode & David Bode held down 6th place with their limit of bass weighing 18.73 lbs. Collin reported ;
“Well the Minn Kota Ultrex was the key once the wind started blowing and I fished all over the lake from the river to the dam. Caught ‘em all on drop shots”….. I’m not so sure about that last part, but who knows….. Stranger things have happened. I do know that Collin and David won $550.00 for their day on the water.
The last place money spot was held by Travis Signorin & Daniel Streeter. Travis & Daniel fished out of a Phoenix/Mercury rig and Travis reported fishing mid-lake in 10-12 foot of water on Carolina Rigs and Crankbaits. These guys took home a check $280.00
