Anglers Quest 2010 Lake Houston Individual Series #9 out of Lake Houston Marina in Huffman, TX began this event with 6 anglers showing up to fish for the $1060.00 purse. This 9th Houston event of 2010 was started at 6:45 am. The weigh in time was conducted at 3:15 pm. This Lake Houston Individual Series after all 9 events provided the Angler of the Year Chris DiBerardino with free entries to all 2011 Houston Individual Series events.

The Individuals qualifying for any championship will automatically qualify for all 4-lake series Championships. Top 25 in pounds from any Individual Series with a minimum of 4 events entered will qualify for championships. If you qualify for any A/Q Championship you will also qualify to go to the 2-day “Tournament of Champions” on November 13-14 on Lake Palestine.

Lake Houston water was in good shape and about normal pool level with water temps running 86-88 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 71 degrees with a warming to 88 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was poor on Lake Mud today as there was no limits brought to the scales for a total of 10 bass at 17.56 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 1.75 lb.

The Skeeter/Mercury of Lanny Diemert from Kingwood, Tx ran to the north & south lake areas to catch his bass flipping tx rigged worms with his Falcon Cara rod & Garcia reel in 2-6 ft of water. Lanny only managed to catch 4 keepers to finish in 1st place with 8.10 lbs. These 4 bites made Lanny $1030.00 for his day on the water. Lanny did collect $50.00 from Bass Guard for having a Bass Guard culling system on board and he also collected $200.00 from Tiremax for making a purchase of 2 tires from Tiremax.

The Bass Guard wrapped BassCat/Mercury of Chris DiBerardino from Huffman, Tx ran to the north lake areas to catch his bass throwing small crank baits with his American Rodsmiths Rods and Shimano reels in 1-5 ft of water. Chris managed to catch 4 keepers to finish in 2nd place with 6.87 lbs.

Nathan Long from Cleveland, Tx ran his Tracker/Mercury bass rig to north lake creek areas to catch his 2 bass at 2.59 lbs using a small chartreuse crank bait around docks & piers with brush in 2-6 ft of water and took home the Santone Lures & ZZ Lures Gift Certificates for his day on the water.
