The Texas Bass Couples held it’s first monthly tournament February 19th on Lake Amistad. The cold and windy conditions were rough on the couples, but the fish didn’t seen to mind. Luther and Alice Lentz from San Marcos, Texas took home the first place money and also the nice Castaway rod for a door prize.
We welcome all of the new members to Texas Bass Couples and we are proud to include in their goody bags a great Leverage spinner bait that I’m sure all of the couples tried out at least once on Sunday.
We are proud to have a number of couples fishing their first tournament circuit and we are pleased they have chosen Texas Bass Couples as their tournament of choice.
The second place couple is a long time friend and fishing pals Barry and Janice Bennett, of San Angelo, Texas. They had a nice stringer of fish and also had a nice kicker fish for the running of big bass.
Big Bass was a close call between two really nice fish, but Tommy and Pam Busbee pulled out the weight to be bestowed the honor of Tournament Big Bass.
Next month is going to be an exciting tournament at Lake Brownwood, and we are looking forward to all of the many couples joining us at the Sportsman Center for our registration on Saturday from 5pm till 6pm. We will have a drawing for door prizes on Saturday also at the Sportsman Center so everyone needs to plan on attending.
