Promoting time on the water with benefiting its community, Mastry Engine Center is a sponsor of the 85th annual Sarasota Sportfishing Anglers Club Tarpon Tournament. Running for five weeks, May 9-June 27, it is the oldest, continuous, open-to-the-public tarpon tournament in Florida.
This event not only recognizes the tarpon fishing in the region, but also supports local charities. Last year, it donated $8,500 to Suncoast Charities for Children. For 2015, the tournament will also give to Coastal Conservation Association Florida. More information can be found at www.sarasotatarpontournament.info. Mastry’s sponsorship also provides it with a vendor display at Powerboats by the Bay, July 4-5, part of the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix Festival.
