McNaron Wins Bass Fishing League Buckeye Division On Ohio River

WHAT: Boater Clyde McNaron of Trenton, Ohio, caught eight-bass weighing 12 pounds, 7 ounces Sept. 25-26 to win $6,668 in the BFL Buckeye Division tournament on the Ohio River-Tanner’s Creek. McNaron was fishing Tanner’s Creek with spinnerbaits to catch his bass.

NOTES: All five events in the Buckeye Division are now complete and the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings in the division have now qualified for the Regional Championship scheduled for Oct. 21-23 on Kentucky Lake in Gilbertsville, Ky. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
