Anglers Quest 2006 Twin Lake Saturday Series #13 on Lake Livingston out of KickApoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 54 teamed anglers showing up to fish this event. The event began at safe light, which was 6:00 am. Weigh in was conducted at 3:15 pm.

This Saturday Series after all 20 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2007 Saturday Series events. The Top 25 teams will go to the Saturday Series Championship in October on Lake Houston & Lake Livingston. A special Top 5 group of teams will go to the “Tournament of Champions” to be held in November on Lake Tyler with a guaranteed $10,000 being paid to the winner. All A/Q Championships include Calcutta auctions which builds the Championship purse to some very nice $$ to compete for.

Lake Livingston water was a bit off color and about 3 ft below normal pool level, with water temps running 77-80 degrees. The weather at take-off was a very calm 81 degrees with a warming to 93 degrees by weigh in time. The fishing was pretty good on Livingston today as 11 limits were brought to the scales for a total of 80 bass at 175.90 lbs, making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.19 lb. Mike Iwasyk from Kingwood and Tommy Swonke from Houston, Tx ran Mike’s Skeeter/Mercury bass rig to Poole creek areas to catch their limit of 5 bass flipping Tx rigged red shad worms and spinner baits to rocks & brush to end up with 13.88 lbs to finish in 1st place and collect the $650.00 plus an additional $160.00 for having the 1st big bass of the day, a fine 4.84 lber.

Stanton Marsh from Livingston & Alan Moore from Lufkin, Tx ran their bass rig to Kickapoo creek areas to finish in 2nd with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 12.86 lbs which made them $450.00 for their day on the water fishing.

The TIRE MAX discount tire stores team of Jason Reyes & Waylon Hull from Humble, Tx finished in 3rd place today fishing in the Kickapoo creek area fishing from Jason’s TIRE MAX wrapped Ranger/Yamaha rig. Jason & Waylon nailed down the 3rd money spot overall with a total of 5 bass all caught on buzz and spinner baits @ 12.76 lbs and collected $300.00. Larry Cotten & Chris DiBerardino from Huffman, Tx brought in 12.69 lbs to nail down the 4th money spot overall and collected $200.00 for their catch of 5 bass using black emerald baby brush hogs. Cullen Vailes & Shane Moffett from Livingston claimed the 5th and last money spot with a limit of bass that tipped the scales at 11.26 lbs and collected $130.00. Larry Jenkins & Dale Hill from Livingston brought in the 2nd Big Bass of the day at 4.04 lbs and took home $110.00 for that one bite.
