Moeser Wins Bass Fishing League Great Lakes Division on Mississippi River

WHAT: John Moeser of Mass City, Mich., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 15 pounds, 6 ounces Saturday, July 10, 2010 to win $4,199 in the FLW BFL Great Lakes Division tournament on the Mississippi River. He spent the hot humid day running and gunning using topwater baits to catch his limit.

He was fishing north of Wabasha dragging the bottom with a 4 inch white tube to sack his limit.

NOTES: The next BFL Great Lakes Division tournament is scheduled for July 24, at the Mississippi River in Prairie Du Chein, Wis. After the fifth Great Lakes Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at Kentucky Lake in Gilbertsville, Ky., on Oct. 21-23, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
