The weather was looking grim this morning with the thick fog and the rain looming… But as time passed the day got better and the fish started biting. There were 18 amazing teams that came to fish the Anglers Quest Team Tournament
today. There were 62 fish, 170.71 pounds of caught, which made for a 2.75 average fish weight.
The team of John Bowen & John Smith came in first place with their limit weighing an awesome 24.72 pounds. These guys had a 8.50 lb kicker that was one of three fish over 8 pounds today. Bowen reported fishing out of a Phoenix Boat
Powered by a Yamaha Motor, flipping bushes with a double Beaver in 8-10 feet of water north of the 147 bridge.
Mr. Smith & Mr. Bowen took home $1,340.00 for their day on the water. Way to go guys !!!!
Dale Gore & Billy Eddins fished out of a 2018 Legend V21 powered by a 250 Evenrude. Dale said that they fished the north end of the lake and caught their big bass, an awesome 9.73 pound bass in 9 ft of water on a Baby Brush Hog. They had a limit that weighed 17.84 lbs. and that was enough to win them second place. Dale and Billy won a total $of 1,000.00 and would like to than Dales Water Wells for their support.
Our Anglers of the Year, Mr. Tommy Hill & Mr. Bubba Frazier came in third place with their limit weighing 17.76 lbs.
Tommy and Bubba fished out of a Skeeter powered by Yamaha. They reported fishing north also, and caught their fish on Watermelon Candy Lizards about 12 feet deep. Tommy and Bubba won $530.00 for their day on the water.
Phillip Hanks & Rodney Sammons took first place out of the money and received their choice of Larry the Lizard Baits for their limit of 5 fish weighing 14.16 lbs.
