Penn has updated and improved a popular graphite one piece frame level wind for 2002, calling it the 320GT2. This new model replaces the 320GTi Super Level Wind, which was introduced well over a dozen years ago. Thousands of anglers throughout the world have caught several thousands of fish with the 320GTi, and the 320GT2 will carry on that tradition in style.
The new 320GT2 features a newly styled, contoured one piece graphite frame along with new, modernized cosmetics. An important internal change in the 320GT2 is an improved warning clicker system. While new for the 320GT2, this clicker system has been proven on a number of other models in the GTi series, like the 310GTi and 321GTi, and Penn’s GS graphite casting series reels. This new clicker system is stronger, more durable and much easier to service.
While the new GT2 is the most advanced Super Level Wind yet, it still shares the features that have made the Super Level Winds one of the most versatile and popular series in the Penn reel line-up. A lightweight black anodized aluminum spool, counterbalanced soft grip handle, sealed stainless steel ball bearings, oversized HT100โ drag system, machined stainless steel pinion gear and a high strength bronze alloy main gear are all included in the GT2.
The 320 yd./20 lb. mono capacity, 4.3-1 gear ratio and light 19.5 oz. weight will carry through on the 320GT2, making it the ideal size and speed for downrigger trolling, mooching, drifting, live bait fishing or bottom fishing in fresh or salt water. The 320GT2 matches well with a number of Penn rods, including models in the Power Stick®, Slammer®, Mariner® and Sabre® series.
