Sunday morning greeted our C.A.S.T./North couples with clear skies, high humidity and the promise of a 100 plus temperature. With water temperatures in the upper 80’s Cedar Creek looked like a formidable foe. Most of our couples managed to bring at least one fish to the scales and all agreed that it was one of the toughest days for fishing they had seen in a while.
The exception to that statement would be Quinn Wilson and Debra Vechank. Quinn and Debra managed to boat the only 5 fish stringer of the day and even managed to cull a few smaller ones. They Carolina-rigged lilly pads with Exude Super Lizards on the lower end of the lake. Quinn and Debra received a $550.00 check for their first place stringer of 12.40 lbs.
Ronnie and Margaret Sherbert claimed 2nd place with a 8.63 lb, four fish stringer they landed on top water baits.
Mike and Kellye Mellen got only two bites all day but with one of those bites Mike pulled in a 5.62 Big Bass of the day.
