Randal and Jane Doan Win Anchored by 8.60 Hog

Only in Texas would Bass Fisher’s have to wear snowsuits at the start ofthe Tournamentbut by weigh-in time be wearing shortsleeve shirts (wishing they hadbrought a pair of shorts)and using the car air conditioner while driving home.

What a great day for the start of the C.A.S.T./NORTH regions firsttournament.Calm winds allowed the teams to take advantage of the entire lake intheir questfor a trophy. Most of the large fish came from the shallow end of thelake.

Bob and Michele Wood used the number one Texas spring bait, and landed a9.25 LB. lunker on a Gold/Orange/Black Rogue. Randal and Jane Doan alsocaughtvery nice 8.60 LB Hog on a small dark grub.

A total tournament weight of 87.9 LB. were weighted in by our Bassin’couples, notto bad for a Blue Bird Sky kind of day following a cold and rainy coupleof days. All fish were released back to the lake alive.

The C.A.S.T./NORTH regions tournament are made possible because ofexcellentsponsors like Ranger Boats, Quantum Motor Guide, Berkley, TerminatorTitaniumSpinnerbaits.
