Randall & Julie May Win On Bob Sandlin

C.A.S.T.  ArkTex Region’s second tournament for 2001 was held on Lake Bob Sandlin.  Although rain was predicted for the day, mother nature held out and gave us a few sprinkles at the beginning of the day and waited until weigh in was completed before gracing us with more rain.  It appears that the Bass were favoring spinner baits, crank baits and black/blue soft plastics.  All couples had the honor of weighing in fish.  A special congratulations goes out to Ruth Berry for catching her first weighing fish.  Ruth’s newfound skills may have something to do with her new Sidewinder Rod.  Yea Ruth!!!

First place winners Randall & Julie May weighed in five fish with a total weight of 16.08 lbs.   Second Place winners Larry & Georgia Mulkey weighed in five fish with a total weight of 14.18 lbs.   Third Place winners Marty & Jill Sugg weighed in five fish with a total weight of 11.87 lbs.   BIG BASS winners were Randall & Julie May with a big bass weighing 4.29 lbs.   Consolation prize gift certificate sponsored by Texas Sidewinder Rods was awarded to Buck & Betty Buchanan.  We hope that these wonderful rods will catch you many keeper bass.
