Randy & Tracy Fuller Land Winning Stringer On Texoma

When you arrive at Lake Texoma and find the lake on the rise with a light breeze blowing, you can’t wait to get on the water because you know that the fish will be feeding. On their way to Texoma our couples stopped at their local Academy Sports and Outdoors to stock up on silver/black shallow running crank baits, blue fleck worms and white jerk baits. With their bounty in hand our C.A.S.T./North couples located good quantities of fish at the back of the coves and on main lake points.

Randy & Tracy Fuller used silver/black shallow running crank baits at the back of coves with newly submerged grass to land the winning stringer of 12.50 lbs and take home a nice $600.00 paycheck.

Both Ronnie & Susan Barker and Larry & Mary Lynn Wood brought 12.30 lb stringers to the scale in a tie for second place. Ronnie and Susan used blue fleck worms around the numerous boat houses on the Texas side while Larry and Mary Lynn fished the Oklahoma side of the lake with soft jerk baits.

Rayford & Diane Richman used a blue fleck worm in the newly flooded grass to bring the 6.25 lb Big Bass of the tournament to the scales.

Second Big Bass of the tournament was a great smallmouth that weighed in at 4.55 lbs. The team of Richard & Diane Tompkins, with Diane fishing a crawfish crank bait, hooked the Smallie on a main lake point near Highport Marina.
