Raymarine Demonstrates Commitment To Grow Boating Initiative

Marine electronics company makes multiple donations to Start Up Fund to aid in the creative development of the Initiative’s marketing campaign

The Grow Boating Initiative today announced that Raymarine has once again made a generous donation to the Grow Boating Start Up Fund. The company’s most recent contribution was triple its original donation made in December.

The Grow Boating Initiative is a cooperative effort among all segments of the recreational boating industry to increase participation in boating by actively promoting the boating lifestyle to the public, improving product quality and industry statistics, and improving the sales and service experience.

“The Grow Boating Initiative is an integral part of the recreational boating industry, and the Start Up fund is essential to expanding the group’s efforts in bringing the community together,” said Terry Carlson, President of Raymarine. “As one of the leaders in marine technology, we believe strongly in this mission and hope our contribution will help advance the Initiative’s creative vision and promote its marketing endeavors.”

The contribution is part of the $2 million Start Up Fund that allows for the creative development and production of the marketing campaign. Early versions of the broadcast and print ads being used for the campaign were unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show last month. Creative development will continue over the coming months before the launch of the Grow Boating campaign, and print and broadcast ads are expected to be made available later in the year for dealers to use in their promotional campaigns.

“With Raymarine and so many other companies in the marine industry putting their financial support behind the Grow Boating Initiative, we have successfully reached our $2 million goal. Now we have to turn our attention to the ongoing campaign, and we are confident that we will continue to receive tremendous support from the industry,” said NMMA president Thom Dammrich.
