Robinson & DeLeon WIN!! AGAIN

Anglers Quest 2006 Twin Lake Saturday Series #17 on Lake Livingston out of KickApoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 34 teamed anglers showing up to fish this event. The event began at safe light, which was 6:30 am. Weigh in was conducted at 3:15 pm.

This Saturday Series after all 20 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2007 Saturday Series events. The Top 25 teams will go to the Saturday Series Championship in October on Lake Houston & Lake Livingston. A special Top 5 group of teams will go to the “Tournament of Champions” to be held in November on Lake Tyler with a guaranteed $10,000 being paid to the winner. All A/Q Championships include Calcutta auctions which builds the Championship purse to some very nice $$ to compete for.

Lake Livingston water was in good shape, and is at about 4.2 ft below normal pool level, with water temps running 86-88 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a very calm 74 degrees with a warming to 92 degrees by weigh in time. The fishing was a little slow on Livingston today as only 5 limits were brought to the scales for a total of 40 bass at 80.90 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.02 lb.

Travis Robinson from Humble & Ruben DeLeon from Houston, Tx ran Ruben’s Triton/Mercury bass rig to South main lake 10-12 ft deep scattered brush to catch their limit of 5 bass casting crank baits, jigs and tubes to end up with a nice sack at 12.64 lbs to finish in 1st place and collect the $500.00 plus an additional $100.00 for having the 1st big bass of the day, a fine 3.80 lber.

Wayne Miller & Terry Czarnowsky from Houston, Tx ran Wayne’s Ranger/Mercury bass rig to creek areas north of the 190 bridge to finish in 2nd place flipping tx rigged baby brush hogs & worms to bring in their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 10.70 lbs which made them $350.00 for their day on the water fishing.

The 1 man team of Greg Crawford from Huffman, Tx finished in 3rd place today fishing brushy banks & boat docks with spinner baits & tx rigged worms in 2-5 ft water in the Whiterock Creek area from his Sprint/Mercury bass rig and collected $240.00 for his limit of 9.80 lbs. The 2nd Big Bass of the event tipped the scales at 3.06 lbs was brought in by Charlie & Gloria Cooper and made them $70.00 for their day on the water.

A/Q will be back at Kickapoo Bait & Tackle on Lake Livingston on Saturday, September 16 for the 18th of 20 Saturday Series events.
