Anglers Quest 2010 Conroe Saturday Series #4 out of El Dorado Jack’s in Montgomery, TX began this event with 22 teamed anglers showing up to fish for the $1785.00 purse.

The event began at safe light at 6:30 am with weigh in conducted at 3:15 pm. This Conroe Saturday Series after all 9 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2011 Conroe Saturday Series events. The Top 10 teams in pounds and all teams that enter all 9 Conroe Saturday Series events will qualify for the Tournament of Champions Championship on November 13-14 on Lake Palestine.

Lake Conroe water was in good shape and about normal pool level with water temps ranning 68-72 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm & rainy 60 degrees with a warming to 76 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching wqs a bit slow for most today on Conroe as there was only 2 limits brought to the scales today, there was a total of 33 bass at 99.71 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 3.02 lb.

The team of Russell Cecil from Willis, Tx & Wes Schubert from Conroe, Tx ran Wes’s Ranger/Rude bass rig to numerous areas north of the 1097 bridge. They used their Falcon rods & H20 reels to throw Big Bite fightin frog baits to catch their best 4 bass in 2-3 ft water. One of their bass was the Big Bass of the event, a really fine 9.12 lber. They reported catching only 4 keeper bass at 17.11 lbs to finish in 1st place and collect $1230.00 for their day on the water. Russell had purchased a set of tires from Tiremax and cashed in on the Tiremax incentive bonus for an additional $300.00, be sure and purchase your tires & wheels to acquire your ticket to collect up to $500.00 for you’re A/Q win.

The Just for Fun watercraft rentals team of Charles Bebber from Willis, Tx & Keith Caka from Magnolia, Tx ran their Skeeter/Yamaha bass rig to numerous areas north & south of the 1097 bridge. They used their Team Diawa & Tour Pro Tackle rods tipped with Big Bite Kreit Creature baits to bring 5 bass to the scales today at 15.79 lbs to finish in 2nd and collect $500.00 for their day on the water.

The one man team of Jarrod McElroy was the 1st place out of the money today and finished with 4 bass at 14.30 lbs. Jarrod took home the Santone & ZZ Lures gift certificates for his day on the water.

Anglers Quest will be back at El Dorado Jack’s on Lake Conroe on Wednesday April 21st for the 4th of23 Lake Conroe Wednesday night Series events, these events will go from 6:00-9:15 pm with a $85 entry fee per team. On April 24th & 25th Anglers Quest will be at Lake Houston Marina on Lake Houston for the 4th of 9 Houston Saturday & Individual Series events. The Tuesday Series also continues on Tuesday April 20th on Lake Houston from 6:00-9:15 pm. The next Saturday & Individual series at Sam Rayburn will be on May 1st & 2nd. There will be 2 Individual events on Rayburn in May on the 2nd & the 8th. On May 15th & 16th A/Q will be at Kickapoo Bait & Tackle at Lake Livingston. Remember to get your teams entry in early to get a low take off #, as they are issued when you enter.
