Sealy Outdoors, Inc. is ready to hit the ground running in 2005 with two new McDonalds Big Bass Splash® events. The first, previously announced last fall, is set for Lake Cumberland on April 2nd and 3rd. Lees Ford Resort will be the site of the Somerset, Kentucky event. Call Lees Ford Resort directly at 606-636-6426 for lodging reservations at the host facility. The second, and newest venue for these legendary events will be Lake Guntersville, May 21st and 22nd. Goose Pond Colony Marina will be the site of the Scottsboro, Alabama event. In each of these two new Big Bass Splash® events, Sealy Outdoors, Inc. is guaranteeing a payback of $100,000 in cash and prizes. Five places will be paid in CASH each hour of tournament days and five places overall will be awarded awesome prizes and cash including a Triton TR 175 rigged with a Mercury 115 ELPTO, Minn Kota trolling, and Lowrance Electronics for first, followed by $4,000 for second place, $3,000 for third place, $2,000 for second place, and $1,000 CASH for fifth place overall!
Additionally, there will be an Exact Weight contest in which the first tournament anglers to weigh in an exact weight 3.00 and 4.00 bass on each day of the tournaments will receive an extra $1,000 CASH! All contestants will be eligible to win another Triton boat, a TR1753 powered by a Mercury 60 ELPTO and equipped with Minn Kota trolling and Lowrance Electronics in the Elimination Drawing contest. In this game, five tournament anglers are randomly selected to participate in an exciting game of elimination to when the last angler remaining wins the boat! Another popular Big Bass Splash® bonus for anglers is the Early Bird Bonus. For this drawing, all tournament anglers whos entries were received prior to the cut-off dates, are randomly chosen between and five selected to receive $200 gift certificates to either Academy Sports & Outdoors (for the Guntersville event) or Backwaters (for the Cumberland event).
For tournament anglers and spectators too, everyone gets a chance to win a Cherokee Travel Trailer! On Sunday afternoon at each event, everyone in attendance, age 18 and up, is eligible to be entered into a drawing to win this awesome prize! Kids ages to twelve years old can get in on fishing action through the Little Anglers Division and win gift certificates and plaques for their catches of Bass, Bream, Catfish, or Perch.

Even though anglers have the opportunity to win cash and prizes while having all this fun, perhaps the best aspect of the event is that they benefit the Ronald McDonald Houses® and Select McDonalds Charities. Supported locally in Kentucky by Tom Snyder, owner of Somerset, London, Manchester, Irven & Richmond, KY McDonalds Restaurants, and in Alabama by Charlotte and Ronnie Dutton, owners of Guntersville, Scottsboro, Albertville, & Boaz, AL restaurants, five dollars of each tournament entry respectively (Cumberland and Guntersville) will be donated to the organizations.
