Skeeter Products, Inc., manufacturer of Skeeter brand boats, announces “Skeeter University,” a series of training sessions, with an emphasis on marketing, sales, product, and business operations, designed exclusively for its nationwide dealer network.
“Skeeter University” includes five regional stops, providing easy access to Skeeter dealers around the country.  The schedule includes Albany, New York, Sept. 15-17; Frisco, Texas, Sept. 29 – Oct. 1; Madison, Wisconsin, Oct. 8-10; Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Nov. 17-19, and Tampa, Florida, Dec. 3-5.
Skeeter’s 2009 line-up includes 26 models, featuring 11 bass boats, four fish & skis, five Deep V models, and six saltwater bay boats.  Skeeter introduces four new models for 2009, including its WX1950, WX2000T, SL1900 and ZX2250 Bay Boat, in addition to making significant upgrades to its line-up.
“Skeeter has a large line-up of boats, with a broad offering of models, and we want our dealers to have first-hand knowledge of our products, sale and marketing programs available to them,” says Skeeter’s National Sales Manager, Ben Jarrett. “This is part of Skeeter’s offensive playbook, and It is one component of us working with our dealers to develop a retail plan, helping everyone involved in this process be successful,” says Jarrett.
According to Trey White, Skeeter’s Director of Marketing, the company wanted to ensure strong participation, thus the reasoning behind hosting five regional meetings.  “We established Skeeter University as an easy way for our dealers to become involved, and during these challenging times, Skeeter wants to support our dealers, and help to strengthen sales at the retail level,” says White.
One of the most successful dealer programs offered by Skeeter is its “Real Money” tournament incentive program, offering cash to Skeeter owners who win tournaments.  The program recently surpassed the $1 million mark in payouts to owners.  The company, coming off a successful 2009 dealer meeting in Frisco, Texas, will now focus its efforts on its Skeeter Owner’s Tournament on South Carolina’s Lake Murray, Sept. 19-21.
Skeeter’s heritage dates back to 1948, and today it designs and manufactures innovative and high-performing bass, walleye, fish & ski and saltwater boats. To order a catalog call (800) SKEETER.By: Bob Bartels
