For years, saltwater anglers have looked to Ranger for a wide
variety of exceptional fishing boats. Now, they have another
reason to look to the nation’s largest manufacturer of premium
quality fishing boats for their sportfishing needs – the all-new
2180 Bay Ranger.
Ranger Boats President Randy Hopper states, “We’re very
excited about the 2180. With its introduction, we’re adding
even more diversity to a lineup that keeps evolving, innovating
and improving. The 2180 encompasses everything sportfisherman
have come to expect from our boats – a smooth dry ride, a
broad beam for shallow draft and stability, as well as outstanding
performance and fishability.”
The 2180 Bay Ranger joins the 175C, 190C, and 200C, center
console boats that are equally at home in both saltwater bays
and freshwater lakes, and the 164 and 184 Caymans, favorites
among flats and shallow water anglers.
Measuring 21′ 8″ in length and rated for a maximum 225
horsepower, the 2180’s versatility makes it the ideal rig for chasing
snook, redfish, tarpon, cobia and a host of other coastal and
in-shore species. Inside, the broad 8′ 4″ beam delivers greater
stability and a large, unobstructed casting deck. Extra wide 8″
gunnels add up to a 360ยฐ fishing platform, and make walking big
fish around the boat extremely easy. Inside the hull, layers of
‘zone-tempered’ fiberglass combine with Ranger’s exclusive pultruded
fiberglass transom, fiberglass gussets and fiberglass stringer system
to transfer a solid, one-piece feel to the ride and handling of the boat.
With the addition of the all-new 2180 Bay Ranger, the line of
premium inshore fishing boats from Ranger just got a little wider.
And, the quality of saltwater angling just got raised a little higher
Ranger Boats, headquartered in Flippin, Arkansas, is the nation’s
largest manufacturer of premium fiberglass fishing boats. In addition
to the Sportfisherman Series, Ranger also manufactures a popular
line of more than 40 freshwater fishing boats. With emphasis on
building the best boats in the world, Ranger Boats is still building
legends-one at a time.
