Leading manufacturer of high-tech electric outboards Torqeedo has appointed Steven Trkla to president of the Illinois-based office. Most recently national sales manager, Trkla has proven to be a valuable asset to the company. He takes the place of Olaf Knueppel, who leaves Torqeedo to pursue family interests.
“Steven has played a crucial role in bringing momentum into Torqeedo’s launch in the US market,” said company co-founder and managing partner Dr. Christoph Ballin. “We look forward to our US business continuing to grow under his leadership.”

With extensive experience in managing larger volume businesses, Steven Trkla was the vice president of sales at Red Oak Marketing before joining Torqeedo. He has a distinguished background in the marine industry and a long history of working for high-tech companies.
