Anglers Quest 2007 Twin Lake Saturday Series # 11 on Lake Livingston out of Kickapoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 40 teamed anglers showing up to fish for the $1480.00 purse. The event began at safe light, which was 5:55 am. Weigh in was conducted at 3:15 pm. This Saturday Series after all 20 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2008 Saturday Series events. The Top 25 teams will go to the Saturday Series Championship in October on Lake Livingston & Lake Houston. A special Top 7 group of teams will qualify to go to the “Tournament of Champions” to be held in November on Lake Tyler and will pay the winning team $10,000.00. All A/Q Championships include Calcutta auctions which builds the Championship purse to some very nice $$ to fish for, for a very small entry fee of $100.00 per team. Lake Livingston water, due to all the recent rain was in dirty shape and about 1/2 ft above normal pool level with water temps running 72-75 degrees. The weather at takeoff was 70 degrees with a warming to 87 degrees by weigh in time. The fishing was pretty good on Livingston as there were 8 limits brought to the scales, a total of 58 bass at 137.82 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.37 lb.

The team of Wade Ellis & Joey Martin from Livingston, Tx run Wade’s Stratos/Evinrude bass boat to south creek areas to catch their bass flipping Tx rigged craw worms to seinie beans and shoreline grass in 1-4 ft of water. Their day found them catching and culling to a 5 bass limit at 14.63 lbs to finish in 1st place and collect $600.00. One of their bass was in a tie for the biggest bass of the day, a 5.17 lber to give them another $100.00. Jeff Stanley & Jimmy Emmons Jr from Humble, Tx run Jimmy’s Champion/Yamaha bass rig to south lake creek areas to finish in 2nd with their best 5 bass, caught on wacky worms & small crank baits that tipped the scales at 13.60 lbs. Jeff & Jimmy’s day on the lake payed back $350.00 for their efforts. Ricky & Charlotte Guy from Humble, Tx run their TIREMAX wrapped Ranger/Yamaha rig to various creek areas south of the 190 bridge fishing tx rigged soft plastics in 1-6 ft of water and finished in 3rd place with a total of 5 bass that tipped the scales at 13.12 lbs. One of their bass was in a tie for big bass of the event at 5.17 lbs and for their efforts took home $300.00. Steve Cross from Spring, Tx finished in 4th place with 5 bass caught on tx rigged lizards in 1-4 ft of water around seini beans. Steve’s 5 bass tipped the scales at 12.96 lbs and made him $130.00.

Anglers Quest will be at Lake Houston Marina on Lake Houston on Tuesday, June 5th and at Inland Marine on Wednesday June 6th at Lake Conroe for the 10th of 23 Tuesday & Wednesday Series events. On June 16th Anglers Quest will be on Lake Houston for the 12th of 20 Saturday Series events. We will be back at Sam Rayburn on June 30th & July 1 for the guaranteed $5000.00 to the winner Super Team Championship.
