The S.E. Region of The 2 of Us Couples organization held their 4th event on Toledo Bend out of Alpine Marina. Our hosts were Tom, Kathy, Liz, Dan and new addition Andrew Schoonveld. As usual their hospitality to our couples went above and beyond. Thank you for sponsoring our plaques and opening early and doing a buffet for us. At sign up Roxane Alexander was generous enough to make her special brownies and cookies for everyone. Also a big thank you to Cookie Cryer with the Sabine County Tourism Board who had goodie sacks and a nice door prize.
Toledo Bend greeted 44 couples to a beautiful morning. When weigh in was done there were some nice catches brought in. 147 fish were brought to the scales with a weight of 311.92 lbs, with an average of 2.27 lbs.
Wallace & Gwen Crossley of Jasper won with a 5 fish stringer of 14.24 lbs. Wallace also had Mens Big Bass with an 8.29 pounder. They took home $766.50. His fish were caught on watermelon flukes, Carolina rigged at Indian Mounds.
