Anglers Quest 2010 Lake Houston Individual Series #4 out of Lake Houston Marina in Huffman, TX began this event with 7 anglers showing up to fish for the $945.00 purse. This 4th Houston event of 2010 was started after the playing of the National Anthem at 6:20 am. The weigh in time was conducted at 3:15 pm. This Lake Houston Individual Series after all 9 events will provide the Angler of the year with free entries to all 2011 Houston Individual Series events.

FLASH — All A/Q lake series championships have been reinstated for 2010 and will be done on home series lakes. The teams or individuals entering all 9 or any team or individual entering the remaining 5 (May-Sept) Weekend Team or Individual series events will automatically qualify for all 4 Series Championships. Top 25 in pounds from any Weekend Team or Individual Series with a minimum of 5 events entered will also qualify for championship. If you qualify for any A/Q Championship you will also qualify to go to the 2-day “Tournament of Champions” on November 13-14 on Lake Palestine.

Lake Houston water was in good shape and about normal pool level with water temps ranning 75-78 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a windy 62 degrees with a warming to 78 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was really good on Lake Mud today as there were 3 limits brought to the scales, for a total of 20 bass at 48.10 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.40 lb.

Waylon Hull from Humble, Tx ran his Triton/Mercury to Luces Bayou creek areas to catch his bass using his H&H rods with Shimano reels tipped with buzz & spinner baits around shoreline brush in 1-4 ft of water. Waylon managed to catch 13 keepers to finish in 1st place with his best 5 at 12.40 lbs. These best 5 bites made Waylon $765.00 for his day on the water. Waylon also possessed a Bass Guard culling system that paid him an additional $25.00. Waylon also wanted to give a big Thank You! to William Bowden at Bowden Marine Sales & Service for his expert installations of all the electronics on his new Triton.

Randy Quin ran his Champion/Mercury bass rig to south & north creek areas and used his American Rodsmiths rods with Shimano reels to throw spinner baits in 1-4 ft water all day. Randy caught 9 keepers and finished in 2nd place with his best 5 bass at 12.39 lbs. Randy received $100.00 for his day on the water. The Tiremax wrapped BassCat/Rude of Ricky Guy took home the Santone Lures & ZZ Lures Gift Certificates for his day on the water. Ricky had a limit of 5 bass that tipped the scales at 11.13.

Lanny Diemert landed the Big Bass of the event, a fine Lake Mud 4.02 lber and received $70.00 for that one bite. Lanny also this morning bought a Bass Guard culling system for $20.00 that paid him back $25.00 today for that one bite.
