AQ Rayburn Team #5S
Rusty Clark & Cory Rambo won the Anglers Quest team tournament at Rayburn this past Saturday. They caught a limit that weighed a whopping 28.78 lbs. Cory reported that they had their fish by 7:40 am, they caught them mid-lake in 12-18 ft of water cranking Sixth 300 DD’s….Cory and Rusty also caught the biggest bass of the day, a 7.63 lb’er. They won a total of $2,040.00 for their day on the water. Johnie Glenn Fountain & Hunter Fountain came in second with 19.90lbs out of their Champion/mercury rig. Hunter reported catching their fish mid-lake in 12 ft of water on plastics. Hunter caught their biggest bass he said he thought he was hung up until he jerked it loose…what a surprise he got when it jerked back…Hunter & Johnie won $920.00for their day on the water.
Clayton Boulware & Phil Addison took third place with their 5 that weighed 18.43 lbs. They took home the the third place money of $550.00. Clayton would like to thank his sponsors, Lews, Big Bite, Pradco, Costa, Tracker Boating Center, Nitro, Mercury, Stanley Jigs & Spinner baits, and a special thanks to his lovely wife Elizabeth and his amazing children.
The team of Butch Hollis & Bob Taylor came in 4th place with 5 that weighed 17.17 lbs. They won $375.00 for their efforts on the water.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU to memory of all our fallen HEROS who served and who are now serving our Country so that we may have the Freedom to Fish and enjoy life as we know it.
Also a SPECIAL THANK YOU to Captain Tom Jenkins and his fellow Game Wardens who spent the weekend keeping us safe as we enjoyed our time on the water. And for taking time out of their busy days to answer the hundreds of questions my grand kids asked them.
