Yamaha Marine Stimulates Growth with Winter Promotion

Yamaha Marine Group today announced a consumer promotion featuring three free years of Yamaha Extended Service (also known as Y.E.S.) on eligible outboards*. In addition, buyers of eligible 150hp or 250hp four-stroke models will receive a $750 credit based on MSRP toward the purchase of goods and/or services at the participating authorized dealer who sold the outboard. Available from Jan. 3, 2007 to March 31, 2007, the promotion is intended to help Yamaha dealers grow in a time when they may need an additional boost to stimulate customers.

“We like what we see when we look to the coming year, but we realize there are some markets where business is not at the level where our dealers might like it to be,” said Ben Speciale, Yamaha Marine Group vice president, operations. “This promotion should help dealers improve their situation, and it covers some of our most popular Yamaha outboards.”

Models eligible for the Y.E.S. portion of this promotion are new four-stroke outboards 50hp to 250hp and new HPDI two-stroke outboards 150hp to 300hp. Through this promotion, buyers of four-stroke Yamahas will receive six years of warranty coverage and buyers of HPDI two-stroke Yamahas will receive five years of warranty coverage.

Apart from engine horsepower, there are other factors that determine outboard eligibility. To be eligible, outboards must be new (not previously warranty registered) and have been manufactured with a model year 2005 designator or have been manufactured since April 2005.
